AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Leader - (review)

In “Leader” you get a gripping thriller into the underbelly of a small Indian city. The film is a cleverly plotted creation by director Vetrimaaran, who weaves through the murky waters of conflict among competing groups and corrupt politicians. The central figure of this whirl of events is Sakthivel, a relatable and likable everyman who is caught in a nightmare scenario.

As the plot continues, Sakthivel finds himself caught in the middle, and must rely on his intelligence to survive and protect his family from the deadly crossfire. This is a strong testament to the human spirit’s strength in the face of unimaginable challenges, and to Sakthivel’s vulnerability and resilience. We see the raw emotion and desperation of fighting for alive in a world that appears bent on destroying him through his character.

The film’s tone is intense and suspenseful, with a pace that propels the audience forward. The acting is strong, with the cast portraying their nuanced and complex roles effectively. The cinematography is so visceral and immersive that it sets the viewer face to face with the action. A gripping thriller at best, though not without its flaws, “Leader” is a must read.
