AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Mirai - (review)

Mirai is an aesthetically dazzling mythological fantasy that sends the viewers on a journey of an enclave of history, prophecy and divine power converging. The novel is about a young orphan and pickpocket known as Vedha Prajapati who realizes that he was the prophesied custodian of nine holy books, or grandhas, made by the powers of Emperor Ashoka. These grandhas have the supernatural power to transform mortals into gods hence their protection is crucial in a fight between bad and good. When Vedha goes out on his journey, he discovers his real background as well as the great responsibility of his fate, which preconditions the beginning of an epic adventure that is based on the concepts of self-discovery, purpose, and heroism.

The visual effects, special effects, and action sequences of the movie are its strong points as it shows in a bright way the mystics of the ancient world of India. The architecture of the grandhas, the magical aspects and the fights with the cruel group of Mahabir Lama are thrilling, as well as captivating. Acting is sincere, even among Vedha whose emotional journey of a carefree orphan to a heroic savior is very touching. The side characters make the story more moral and emotional, as well as provide depth. The fast-paced rhythm of the director and the suggestive music make the film sound more like an epic, and the spectators cannot turn a head.

The best part was the message that was hidden in the film with regards to accepting the real one and fate. The self-discovery and self-acceptance that Vedha experiences in their journey leads to the necessity to comprehend the inner strength of a person, despite the disorder and the threat. Mirai is a movie with an inspirational effect, incorporating myth, action-emotion into one completely strong story of legacy, purpose, and belief power. Even with its convoluted legend, it is an interesting study of heroism that leaves one in awe and reflection, long after the tale is over.
