The series presents us to the life of Ava, a strong and complicated orphan girl who wakes up in a morgue with an inexplicable Halo on her back that makes her the Halo Bearer of the prophesied event. Her abrupt entry takes her to the hidden world of The Order of the Cruciform Sword, an underground society of demon-slaying nuns, fighting a centuries old war between the powers of good and evil. The tone of the show is able to balance between the dark and intense action and the elements of humor and emotional appeal, which makes the show exciting and familiar.
Acting is also quite good with the main character Ava depicted as vulnerable and strong that wanders through her path of confused and empowered.
