Legend of the Female General S01 Pt.2 - (review)

One of the most interesting combinations of historical drama, actions, and touching stories is the first season of the series called Legend of the Female General. In the very core, the show idealizes resilience and inner strength of the experience of He Yan, who is soft faced and has a ferocious temper, and Xiao Jue, cold but highly skilled general as a male. Their unity is built by the respect and shared values since they are prepared to fight the deceit and weak in order to protect them, and to fight the foreign powers as they are a threat to their territory. The series is superbly written, with the scenes of military fierce alternating with the scenes of vulnerability, which gives the audience an entertaining plot.

Power of women empowerment, and loyalty in the drama are powerful nature as He Yan is being changed into a young girl who was shy and turns to become an aggressive general. Her act of impersonating He Rufei so that her family can be respectable and the end result being her coming back to herself is a sign of her might and determination to carve her own path. Meanwhile, the issue of Xiao Jue and silent power is an inner conflict, which adds more layers to the plot and emphasizes the fact that in most instances, the true power is concealed in a sweet form. The fact that their relationship is blossoming with a lot of warmness and trustfulness is an emotional upgrade to the series and their bond is more of an emotional one that keeps them moving.

The program aesthetically is the spectacle to watch due to the meticulous costume designing, authentic sets and action stunts packages bring a living image of the era. The music enhances the emotional theme of the most vital scenes, and the tension of success and failure will be experienced. The telling of the story is overall powerful and inspiring though some of the supporting characters seem slightly underdeveloped. The Season 1 of Legend of the Female General echoes with persistence, bravery, and the importance of found family in the world of war.
