Some of them are Wu Shi Guang who is haunted by his past and Ji Ling, a mysterious priest whose motive is still unknown. Fighting, betraying and blooming romance, they have to struggle with their desires and loyalties. The series contains the motifs of sacrifice, redemption and the ambiguity of morality. Through the adventures of the characters, it becomes clear that love and faithfulness can sometimes demand some hard decisions and that good and evil are sometimes confused by self-interest and secrets.
