AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Salt - (review)

Salt is a beautifully developed cat and mouse game which will keep you guessing to the end. Angelina Jolie is the bright star as Evelyn Salt, an agent in the CIA, her world is shaken when a Russian defector tells her that she is a Russian spy. Salt escapes as the stakes increase, with her own agency and a merciless assassin on her heels.

The only area that Salt does not falter is its masterfully crafted plot, replete with twists and turns, that will have you seated at the edge of your seat. The movie is filled with a tense mood, which is well represented by the directorial job of Phillip Noyce, who effectively builds the tension as the situation that Salt is in gets worse and worse. Jolie does not fail in her performance as she adds depth and nuance to a strong and vulnerable character. Its supporting actors are also spectacular, such as Liev Schreiber, who plays the role of boss of Salt Ted Winter.

With the execution of the act, Salt poses thought-provoking questions concerning loyalty, identity, and the blurry lines of good and evil. The themes of the film are timely and thought-provoking and it makes it an interesting watch that will make you think even after the credits are over. All in all, Salt is an engaging thriller that will have you glued to it until the end.
