Fundamentally, the movie glorifies the life of a simple and sincere mechanic Jose Daniel whose kindness to others makes him who he is. It is his act of kindness, assisting Alejandra on a rainy night despite not anticipating anything in return that preconditions the story about how kindness may be misused but ends up winning. The tone of the film is quite positive and real, focusing on human decency in the background of dishonesty and deceit. Jose Daniel working in his small garage day and night, the scenes of his work remind about the years of nostalgia and respect to hard labor, which makes the fact of his character so close to the viewer.
The plot is enhanced by the performances, although the quiet power of the image of the upright integrity of Jose Daniel is revealed. The character of Alejandra also brings into the story a sense of power and impact, as she is not a desperate and desperate stranger anymore but a central character who reinstates order.
