As they grow closer, from their rivalry in sports to their aspirations, a romantic relationship unfolds, offering a sweet look at youthful love and ambition.
The movie gets very interesting when Kevin’s determination to make his dreams a reality is tested by the difficulties of life, and when things begin to fall apart with Ellie. With the comfort of his family fading and his father in critical condition, Kevin’s brother turning to crime, and a cherished orphanage being foreclosed just before a big race, Kevin is facing some serious problems. Meanwhile, Ellie passes away from her own ill health, and distances herself from Kevin and her coaching position. These failures serve to raise the emotional quotient and the lesson here is that things do not always go your way and you will learn if you are willing. The climax is both heart-wrenching and motivating as Kevin, fueled by love and determination, embarks on the challenging 10,000 Miles Silk Road Ultramarathon, overcoming personal heartbreak and through grueling landscapes to demonstrate his love and ability.
