AGASOBANUYE LIVE

Last Days of Happiness - RebaStory

Sara is young and kind and takes responsibility, and she doesn’t like to be late for school. One morning when her mother has her class late, a kind neighbor offers to drive Sara and his daughter, Gabriela, to school. On the ride, Sara observes a lonely boy with a disability named Luisito, outside an orphanage, every day. She is curious, compassionate and sneaks out of the car before arriving at school to meet him. Although Luisito cannot walk or talk like a normal human being, Sara doesn’t judge him by the fact that he can’t and chooses to befriend him. She plays with him all day and shares her lunch with him, and makes him happy in his lonely life. While her parents, teachers and neighbors fret that something terrible has happened to her, however.

As Sara goes on visiting Luisito she discovers the sad story of his life. Years ago, Luisito saved his parents in an accident, but was seriously injured. Rather than thanking his sacrifice his father left the family, his mother blamed him for ruining her life. Then she gave him up, too, and he was placed in an orphanage. The story deeply moves Sara and she is determined to provide him with the friendship and love he never had. She even goes so far as to stealing time away from class to spend with him, playing games, and helping him to enjoy childhood. But her parents don’t realize what she is doing and scold her for being disobedient.

Finally, Sara’s parents find out the truth, and they meet Luisito at the same time. They see it is not rebellion that has brought this about, but incredible compassion in their daughter. Unfortunately, Luisito’s health suddenly deteriorates, and he dies. Sara is in love with his best friend, but he’s heartbroken that his life wasn’t as complete without her friendship. The story concludes with a strong lesson in kindness, compassion, and loving those who may be lonely or have been forgotten; no one knows how long someone has left.
